At our school we use Windows, so a tool I use frequently is the Snipping Tool. Here is an example of a project I do with my third graders: I give them images of two animals and have them use snipping tool to pick one of the animals:
It is very easy to use, you can use to capture an image (you can add text, or arrows) or you can make a video and add voice recording. Here is a snapshot using Jing:
You did well with both tools. I use Jing and Snipping Tool about equally. Snipping Tool is a bit faster because I've added a shortkey. I do like moving fast!
